Our members have shared a little about their beloved dogs who regularly visit, helping create the warm and welcoming community we're proud of at The Bradfield Centre. From their personalities and favourite nap spots to the joy they bring to the building each day.
Alba
'Alba lives in Saffron Walden and regularly does the rounds of all the shops and cafés, where she is well known for collecting gravy bones and cubes of cheese from the deli. Alba loves racing around the woods chasing squirrels (though she wouldn't know what to do if she ever caught up with one!) belly rubs and scratches behind the ear, then snoring to a level which could be register on the Richter scale Alba is not a fan of curtains that blow in the wind, creaky doors, or large hats'
Age: 6 years old
Breed: Blenheim colour - Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
Favourite Toy: Her favourite toy is 'Flat Squirrel' - a realistic squirrel which she likes to grab and shake about with her best friend Lily the Jack Russell Terrier
Favourite Treat: Her favourite treat is...any treat!

Monty
'Monty has had several homes in his short life and was rescued from a couple who had split up and couldn’t keep him any longer. He loves nothing more than making me look like an idiot trying to walk him around the science park but he’s improving and we’re doing some training to help him learn how to behave nicely. He loves meeting people in the building but does get over-excited!'
Age: 1 year old
Breed: Mixed breed (his DNA has 11 breeds)
Favourite Toy: His favourite toy is any of our shoes which he can steal and hide in his crate
Favourite Treat: His favourite treats are whatever is on offer, but only if he’s in the mood otherwise he’ll turn his nose up at anything, he does quite like dried chicken feet which yes are as disgusting as they sound!

Teddy
'Teddy's main hobbies include collecting cuddles, following his humans everywhere like a little shadow and making sure no one goes too long without giving him some attention.
Friendly and affectionate, Teddy loves people and is always happy to be the centre of attention.
When he’s not supervising snack time, Teddy can usually be found curled up asleep, often in the bed with his favourite teddy, dreaming away and occasionally twitching as if he’s off on a big adventure.
Always available for cuddles and morale boosting.'

Tilly
'I knew Tilly's previous owner quite well. When she got sick she called me up and I ended up taking Tilly on. I'd never had full time care of a dog before, but Tilly made it easy. She explained to me that as long as she has five walks a day, two big meals featuring the most expensive food in the pet shop, lots of between-meals snacks, and lots of love and affection, it would all be fine. And that's how it turned out. The next walk is never far away!'
