Our Week at Cambridge Tech Week 2026

Published on 22 Sep 2026

Cambridge Tech Week is always one of the highlights of our year. This September, under the theme How Deep Tech Changes the World, the 2026 edition felt like a step change. Five days that brought together founders, investors, researchers, policy leaders and global technology companies to explore how deep tech is shaping the future of the world economy. We were delighted to be part of it, and more involved than ever before.

Opening Our Doors on Day 1

We started the week by welcoming Cambridge Tech Week to The Bradfield Centre. Day 1 highlighted how region's technology community works, and how Cambridge collaborates with other clusters across the UK.

It's always a privilege to open the building to people who are experiencing the Cambridge ecosystem for the first time. But it's equally valuable for those already based here. The conversations that happened on that first morning, between people who work in the same city but had never met, were a reminder of why moments like this matter. Community doesn't build itself. You need the room, and the occasion.

Two Days at Innovation Alley

On Tuesday 15 and Wednesday 16 September, we moved to the Guildhall as part of Innovation Alley, an exhibition of 80+ startups, scaleups and established tech companies.

Two days, hundreds of conversations, and the kind of energy that only happens when the right people are in the same room at the same time. We spoke with founders, investors, researchers, corporate partners, and people who had flown in specifically for the week. The breadth of interest, and the quality of what people were building, was genuinely impressive.

Showcasing Trinity Bradfield Prize finalists

The part of the week we are most proud of is what we were able to offer to three early-stage companies from our community.

Phaseshift, OneCarbon, and GreenMixes, all finalists of The Trinity Bradfield Prize, the annual entrepreneurship competition run jointly by The Bradfield Centre and Trinity College Cambridge, joined us on our stand throughout Innovation Alley. For companies at their stage, visibility is everything. A conversation at a stand like this can open a door that takes months to find any other way: an investor introduction, a potential customer, a strategic partner, or simply someone who now knows you exist.

Watching those teams hold their own in conversations with some of the most experienced people in the Cambridge ecosystem was genuinely one of the best moments of our week. They absolutely deserved the platform.

If we met you this week, we hope to see you again soon. And if you weren't there, come and visit. This is what we do, every week of the year.
