SPARK 1.0, the newest initiative by Founders at the University of Cambridge in partnership with King's E-Lab, now has applications open. This intensive four-week residential incubator programme is designed for students, researchers, and alumni who are ready to materialise their ideas into action and create ventures with global impact.
With the first cohort starting on 26th August 2025, we’re looking for 20 co-founding teams and individuals with innovative ideas, early-stage products, or social ventures from any technology-led sector. For undergraduates completing their studies in summer 2025, postgraduate students, researchers, and alumni, SPARK offers the tools, mentorship, and networks to help ventures achieve an investible outcome.
The programme is open to University of Cambridge undergraduates, postgraduates, researchers, and alumni with innovative ideas in any technology-led sector.
Participants will emerge with: - A validated business model and a clear pathway to product development
- Access to expert mentorship and masterclasses with global entrepreneurs and investors
- The opportunity to pitch for £20,000 investment and chance to pitch for further investment at Demo Day
- A chance to join a thriving community of innovators and change-makers
The offering: - No programme fee for current students and alumni (up to 2 years)
- Dedicated mentorship and access to 250+ global experts
- Free working space and curated networking opportunities
- Two formal dinners at King’s College with industry leaders
- Fully serviced single rooms at King’s College are available for £3,000 (funding opportunities may be available).
