James Parton, MD of The Bradfield Centre, hosted a fantastic launch event last week for Cambridge Tech Week 2024.
Chris Bruce, Chair of the CTW24 Steering Committee gave an overview of the aims of the week. He said:
"This unmissable event will attract high-profile delegates from across the tech ecosystem, showcasing the latest technology from Cambridge, the wider UK and from across the globe. We’re thrilled to announce that our first sponsors for Cambridge Tech Week are: Cambridge Consultants, HSBC, UKTIN, Cambridge Management Consulting, Mills & Reeve and Rathbones Group Plc.
We’d also like to say a huge thank you to Mills & Reeve for hosting our first launch event in Cambridge, closely followed by a London launch event at Rathbones Group Plc in London. We look forward to working with our sponsors, partners and contributors to elevate Cambridge Tech Week to the next level."
James Parton from The Bradfield Centre then chaired a panel discussion with Pam Garside, Chair, Cambridge Angels, Harriet Fear MBE, Founder and Director, Harriet Fear Associates Ltd, David Moore, CEO, Pragmatic and Carmen Palacios-Berraquero, CEO, Nu Quantum.
The conversation revolved around the intersection of technology and entrepreneurship in Cambridge and Cambridge's wider role within the technology ecosystem. As Carmen noted: "Cambridge is a centre for global technology".
Following this, we held a Q&A and then an opportunity to have more informal discussions over drinks and canapés.
