Cambridge AI is a fast-growing, not-for-profit community that brings together technologists, founders and investors passionate about the transformative power of AI across many sectors who are building or applying AI to solve real-world problems

Our goal is simple: to create a relaxed, welcoming space for practitioners, founders, researchers, investors and the simply AI-curious to share ideas, challenges and real-world use cases

Our events are held every 2 months and typically attract 60-70 attendees from a much wider mailing list of over 1,000. Each session is themed around a sector or application area - such as AI in Life Sciences, AI in Publishing, AI in Drug Discovery, AI in AgriTech, AI in Legal - and features talks from 3-4 speakers. We encourage case-study-led presentations, not sales pitches, with a strong emphasis on lessons learned, practical tools and candid reflections

The audience is deliberately diverse: we attract founders, CTOs, software engineers, data scientists, PhD students, clinicians, corporate innovation leads and investors. The meetup offers a mix of technical depth, commercial insight and community spirit. We also aim to support early-stage innovators by showcasing emerging companies that are just beginning to explore AI in their sector

Alongside the content, we provide pizza, beer and informal networking to help build collaborations across disciplines and sectors in a friendly, low-pressure environment

We've been fortunate to host several of our events at The Bradfield Centre which has a perfect space for both presentations and mingling. The AV setup is seamless for us and the team is helpful and welcoming. More than that, the Bradfield has the right energy for our events because it's a place where ideas are exchanged freely, and where start-ups, researchers and investors genuinely cross paths. It's a space that reflects Cambridge AI's own values: open, practical, ambitious and community-driven.
